free roaming the sub
 

howz my hunters doing good to be back after 3yrs, i lost my back up files of my last set up to sh3. one thing i really liked cause it gave a simulated feeling that u were walking the sub on deck and below, my problem is i cant remember how to edit the command_en cfg file to have me go back to the camera position i was previously in. Example as u free roam (Shift+F2) up through the conning tower i hit F4 and im on the deck...now when i wanna return to the same free roam position i was in the conning tower i cant, instead it takes me back to the control room in F2 mode, then i have to hit shift f2 again..im using WAC 5.2 and the WAC5.2 WideScreensGUI 1920x1080 Ahnenerbe mod. BTw i was using magui 3.4F at the time.

If I understand your question correctly you should be able to simply add the necessary commands to the return to conning tower view.
Many command files use the "ins" key as a return to previous view key; tie that into your free roam conning tower view commands.
Not the same commands as you mention, but i.e. I have my "completely lower observation scope" command tied to the command room camera view so that when I use that observation scope command, it also takes me to the command room view vs. staying on the observation scope screen.

Might be easier just listing things. I.e., the observation scope command I use above is keys "ctl O F2".
Say you want to go back to free roam conning tower view as you mention. Try combining the "Go_back_to_prev_cam" and "free camera" and "conning_ tower_camera commands from your file into one string.
Maybe also try googling for the program SetKeys; can't find it right now. There is also this.
