Open one of mine in Submarine/NSS_UBoatxx/NSS_UBoatxx.dat/water splash nodes In create effect, copy/paste the ID numbers in the tool/search, and you will find what is needed in Particules.dat or Materials.dat |
Thanks for the answer, but there is only the normal "WaterInteraction" controller, not the one I meant ...
... I know the "WaterInteraction" controller very well. ... mfG Kermit |
WaterSurfaceTransition is an SH4 controller.
It is NOT in SH3. Never has been and will not work in SH3. |
Moin, moin...
Thank you for the honest answer ... ... that explains a lot ... ... then this is a small bug in S3D, because there it is displayed / offered for SH3. ... thank you again, then I do not need to invest more time there . ... with best regards ... Kermit |
Actually not a BUG of S3D.
One needs to know what controllers work in which version of SH. S3D was written for SH4 and SH3 support was a kind of extra feature. Being SOME controllers were carried over to SH4. S3D works with SH5 IF you have the files modified by me and others so a very good Tool! But one needs to KNOW what controller works in what version. What are you trying to do? |
You could also use Rosomaha's Silent3Ditor Configurator (S3D-CFG) to sort the controllers to only show SH3, 4 or 5...

Good point!
Your hat covers in nicely! :har::03: |
Thank you both, again what learned ...

@ Jeef-Groves
... could you use the SH-3 "EffectChoices" controller as an alternative to let certain processes run when the 3D object is out of / in the water ? ... Kermit |
