New way to Export from SH5
This Tool is said to even export Animations!
What I do know from testing is it does export a complete 3D model. https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22277 I'd suggest reading the complete thread as there are some issues I'll not get into since they are addressed there. |

no editor/importer at this time? I realize the importance of of studying the GR2 format, and I understand that being able to export anything from it, is an important step in the knowldedge-gathering process which may lead to new tools. That said, a new editor, bug-free and more powerful than the one created by TDW, would be the real breakthrough :) |
I look at it this way.
Animations in dat format work in SH5. Just look at the Seagulls. You could transpose the animations to SH3/SH4 or given imagination? New stuff for SH5. |

All the old animation controllers seem to work in SH5. There are some limits though. An example: DC racks keyframe animations, which in SHIII and SHIV are triggered by the release of a depth charge, in SH5 play in an endless loop. Quote:
