DW crashes selecting P3 in custom missions
Ahoy shipmates i have an issue when selecting the P3 Orion for custom missions I have created.
Everytime I select the P3 the game loads to about 80% then just fails to load, if I select a submarine for the same mission it loads fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me nuts :k_confused: |
We could use a little more info. :yep:
Stock DW? Do older P-3 missions also crash? Are you using a playable P-3 or an AI P-3 in your mission? :hmmm: |
Apologies for the lack of info.
i'm using the Steam version of DW with the RA mod 104 0378 and i believe i;m using playable P3's (not sure how to tell the difference in the mission creator). I've had the same problems with any P3 custom missions i've downloaded from here and at SubGuru. Im also running the game on W10 which i've had no problems running with other platforms it just seems to be the P3 that crashes the game. |
OK, which version of RA? The newest is 1.50.
Have you installed an older version of RA prior to the most recent? Did you install your current version of RA over the previous one? That's a no-no. Always install RA into a clean version of DW with the 1.04 patch. Otherwise, you might try doing a re-install of RA. Start with a clean install of DW patched to 1.04. Extract the RA installer and the data folder(s) and place them in the MAIN DW folder. Run the installer- it usually takes a while even on a fast machine- make SURE you see the installer's final "press any key" message. Try it again. It sounds to me like something(s) didn't install the first time. This tends to mess up different platforms in DW/RA and the P-3 is one of the prime candidates to get screwed up. :salute: |
I'm currently using RA 1.49, I can't find any links to V1.5
I'll do a complete uninstall and start from scratch, see if i can narrow it down. |
