"No CSubTorpedoCtrl" Error
 
So. I went through a bit of a mess downloading mods for SH3 today. I got LSH3 and some other mods. Was eager to play it, started a campaign and got hit with that error.
My current mods list (Excluding LSH3 stuff) Is:
FixAllSubGWX, German U Boats Compilation (Only Type VIIb and VIIc), MEP v6, New U-Boat Guns Fixed Reworked, TKSS18 German U-Boats Compilation No Eagle, Torpedo Damage Final ver2.0, 1920x1080 mod that doesn't work.

Quick Edit: This is the Steam version of SH3.

Ok... where to begin... well, lets start with the 1st item in the list you included with your post & work from there..

FixAllSubGWX: Only works with GWX... enough said there...

German U Boats Compilation (Only Type VIIb and VIIc) : Works for most of the other mega mods, (that I know of, that is...) except LSH3... & won't, unless any 1 takes the time to go through the entirety of the parts of the ''TKSS'' mod line up, that this is part of...

New U-Boat Guns Fixed Reworked: See above, same thing here...

TKSS18 German U-Boats Compilation No Eagle: & last, but NOT least... same as with New U-Boat Guns Reworked.... & the 1 before that...

As for the rest, that I didn't cover... MEP v6 & Torp Damage: Final, these do work with LSH3-2015 as I have them added to it.

If you want the other mods, that I explained why they are NOT working, to work, then you will have to either do a copy of SH3 fresh in addition to the 1 you have modded with LSH3 (ie a multi copy) & then mod it with GWX, WAC or NYGM, from what I understand will work with the following:

FixAllSubGWX:
German U Boats Compilation (Only Type VIIb and VIIc) :
New U-Boat Guns Fixed Reworked:
TKSS18 German U-Boats Compilation No Eagle:

I do know there is the mega for SH3, called ''CCoM'', but don't know if any of the TKSS mods will work with them. I know that the 1 mod the FixAllSubGWX: only works with GWX... that, is made clear, right there at the end... GWX.

Soooo.... Hope this info helps on understanding why they are not working with your LSH3 install.

Thank you! I didn't really know that they didn't work with that mod. Think I'll just uninstall and reinstall so I don't have to go through it again. that and of course make a separate mods folder to store them in. Thank you again!

Again, German u-boat compilation 2 (only VIIB & C by Wise) is not recommended as this mod is not finished and will certainly bring CTD later on war time line.…if used as it is.

Good Day Gents, I am also getting the No CSubTorpedoCtrl error and I am not sure why, Mods loaded in JSGME in this order:

Thomson's Sound Pack V3.2cg
Rbs1_SH4_Effects_GWX_30_71
M.E.P. v6
ARB WideGui 1920x1080 (working)
Supplement to V16B1 (JSGME)

I am also using the Steam Version but have moved it to a non steam folder to allow me to use the 4GB patch. Thanks for any help y'all can provide!:Kaleun_Salute:

Hmm... :hmmm:

The only 1 I can think of, that 'may' be causing issues... might be that 2nd one, in your mod list...

Sound pack, shouldn't be causing any issues that I can think of... & if you followed the directions, for that supplement to V16B1, you've from what I know of.. have that in the proper place, dead last...

Only thing I can think of... to test bed it... activate 1 mod, at a time... & see how it goes...

Just went through the whole list and disabled them one by one, still getting the same error with every time.

For a little more background info I am using steam to fresh install the game, installing GWX and then using SFSF to move the game files to my D:\Games|Silent Hunter 3 folder.

From there I used S3F to install the 4GB patch and run h.sie patch as well.

Thanks for the quick response, not sure what my next steps will be however, might try to move the game files by hand instead of using the SFSF mod. :Kaleun_Salute:

Crap... :doh: :oops:

1 thing I forgot to mention...
After deactivating the mods (ALL of them, not 1 at a time & testing ), before reactivation, was to go into the documents, where your save game folder for the SH install (usually in C:\Users\*whatever UR user name you go by*\Documents\*what you have that copy named to*) & delete it... all BEFORE reactivating the mods... no need to delete that save folder, unless you are removing mods...

My bad, & I do apologize for overlooking that important detail.... as I recall of, deactivating & then trying to reactivate mods afterwards, the save folder, is called upon by launching the .exe for the game & in doing so... the old mod config, will still be there & called upon...

Deleting that save folder, each time you take mods out or reorder them... is NECESSARY, as I understand it.

I shall present Myself to BdU for keel hauling or shipment to the Ost front... I shall just hope for no firing squad...

With that info in hand, may want to re run that test of reactivating the mods, (1 at a time only, Vasily... :D ) before doing anything drastic.. yet... unless absolutely needed to.
