Supply bases throughout the conflict.

Although I have read quite a lot about the war in the Pacific, it is a very wide ocean and I cannot keep in mind the names of each of its islands, and the periods of time when they were in Japanese hands, and later recovered by the Americans. . I know Pearl Harbor and Midway were always available, as well as certain ports in Australia. But when we are very far from those bases, how do we know if when we arrive at a port we will not end up as prisoners of the Japanese? My specific question is the following: Where can I obtain information on the bases available for the different missions during the entire conflict? I will greatly appreciate your guidance on this!

Bases will appear as a vertical Anchor on the map.
Home base will be a tilted anchor.
Early in the war, watch out for some bases going away (captured).
There usually is a message that will pop up about that.

And, always keep in mind that you may have to go farther to get refueled, so watch that fuel consumption.

Or a fouled anchor!

But this one would be tilted.

+1 on mikesn9 comments.
also, keep in mind that the UBI design team did not program any scenario where you and you crew could be captured and interred as POWs.
if you sail into a base that WAS an Allied base that IS NOW a IJN base, you will not be captured but possibly fired on and killed.

UBI also did not program for abandoning ship or scuttling the boat or celebrating a promotion or medals/awards having any effect whatsoever etc, etc, etc. i am going to stop here because it will get out of control.:03:

just remember my second line above and you will be just fine.

Thank you all very much for your responses!

I suppose that if the base is occupied by the japs, instead of anchor will appear the flag of the rising sun?Because as Kaleun Marco says, many war circumstances were ignored by Ubisoft.

No, the name of the harbor would be in red. So, if you wanted to dock in Manila, if it was still an allied base it would have the anchor, but if it was controlled by the Japs, it would be Manila.
