low fps, and lag

Hey guys, I've been dying to try the wolves of steel mod, and finally pulled the trigger on a new gaming laptop so that I could play. I've gotten WoS installed on my Steam copy of SH5, but the mouse lags considerably and the game in general is really slow with a very bad fps. I've turned down the anti-aliasing and even reduced the graphics to medium setting which has helped, but I feel like I should be able to run this game maxed out no issues.

System specs:
i7 @ 2.6ghz
GeForce RTX2060 6GB
16GB RAM
1TB SSD

I installed the game in the program files x86 instead of the regular program files as I lost my patience trying to figure out how to make steam install it there. I don't know if that would be the issue? Or maybe I'm just wildly underestimating this game? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check out THEBURBSTER's how to's etc. They were a life saver for me. I don't think there's a problem out there that he hasn't addressed.

Good luck :salute:

problem solved!

It appears that I have solved the issue, and it was a rather easy fix. After refamiliarizing myself with all the hardware and settings on this laptop, I realized that the refresh rate on the monitor is 120hz and not 60hz. I changed the graphic settings in game to 1920x1080 120hz, and also went into the display settings and added the sh5.exe to a profile and set it to high performance instead of auto. I seem to be running smooth as glass now! ...now to learn how to play Wolves of Steel!
