Oops! Stuck in port for the day.
Accidently deleted my SH5/Uplay anchor installation, as I forgot what it was there for.
Recently upgraded my gaming drive to an SSD, and Friday night was cleaning duplicate SH3, SH4, and SH5 installations. Too damn many campaigns too keep up with,. Starting a new SH5 campaign that I had setup on Thursday night, decided to launch it this morning, only to discovery that Uplay no longer shows it installed. DRM's can be aggravating on ten year old games. Working on reinstalling from scratch now... At least it's a beautiful day. :salute: |
Well, finally got the stock Uplay version installed and working.
However, my attempts to save my existing install are not fairing too good. Starting to look like I may have screwed myself out of a perfectly working TWoS installation. Submitting my entry now for the dumbass of the year award. :/\\!! |
All affairs in port have been handled. Basically, deleted everything, and started from scratch. Everything seems in working order.
Here's to good hunting. :Kaleun_Cheers: |
Had a similar experience just recently.
Bought a new PC, which has no DVD drive. "That's no problem", thinks I. "It's registered on U-Play, and I'll just re-download like I have on a couple of previous occasions." Installed and ran U-Play, logged in.............. and all my games are gone. :timeout: Spent about an hour on chat with an Ubi rep, who issued me a new key, after sending him pics of my boxes, cd's and manuals. |
