688i BSY-1 systems
k ive made my first 80,s to 00 Digital Display panels for the 688i Hunter Killer subs
i went for a darker feel like in the control room for the new : Conditions & Signature Panels also the Mini Map display has been reworked my new ADC mark 3,s (Acoustic Countermeasure Device) are made now these can act like a moss or a regular adc as in take up station at set depth and decoy they also can do active pings that look like submarine active sonar for extra decoy options good for flushing out prey. these two decoy types combined with the standard Masker Decoys make good defenses for the vessel ive also changed the VLS to SET Signal Ejector Tubes these in my Epic W@ters vessels are the Generic External tubes so like SSBN TUBES SSGN TUBES External countermeasures TUBES VLS TUBES Basically any weapon that is not internal and cant be reloaded ive made the bsy-1 sonar too and my version of the tb-23 thin-line Towed array for the 688i class. Total Signature re do
the new signature look is part of my total signature overhaul
this makes all signatures more realistic & have meaning so im reworking them at the moment but it takes time to re do em all + other stuff im working on basic re working method is : Narrow Band & Broad Band - Separator this is a bit more Realistic approach to split the Sonar information up its nothing like real Sonar stations or systems tho besides that would mean Rewriting & adding loads Of code and many new display screens to show it properly real systems use to name a few LOFAR LOw Frequency Analysis & Recording or DEMON Detection of Envelope MOdulation on Noise Not to mention Various Arrays but it will do ho and toilet Roll dont forget that for your Sonar screen what ive made is splitting the sonar information in to 4 Visual sources ========Narrow Band==== 1.) Propulsion method so Propellers ect ive made 5 sizes very small , small , medium , large , very large 2.) Propulsion Power so Nuclear , Turbine , Electric or Engine for other Generic types =====Broad Band=========== 3.) Acoustic Signature so like it use to be in cold waters 4.) Noise this is displayed by the brightness behind the Broadband Acoustic signature the brighter the background is the Louder it is this is mainly to separate submarines & surface ships tho some submarines can be noisy if multiple reactors and propellers were used not to mention if its not rafted See Image (60,70,s Sig) redo for better look ive included a Key image in the picture of types for comparison this image is off the USS narwhal with analog Hud my MY New digital one is above this post in first post so now your sonar display tells you 1.)power source type and number of 2.)size and number of propellers 3.)contact signature 4.)contact type so surface or submarine and with the arrow to show if target is above or below Thermal Layer all this information Greatly Enhances the game i think added signature types so far : Very Large Propellers Large Propellers Medium Propellers Small propellers Very small propellers ------------------------------------- Large turbines Medium turbines Small turbines ------------------- Large Diesel engines Medium Diesel engines Small Diesel engines ---------------- Reactors (Nuclear) -------------- Battery Motors (Electric) Steel Shark |

just to give you lot some idea of the Total Pain that is signature creation is
i have to research the vessel for propulsion type and power so Steam turbine or Diesel Blocks ect then i have to make the Loudness back ground then attach the signature if its a new vessel then i have to make the signature then add the correct type and number of propellers so it takes time ive added a screen shot of signature creation as you can see its very involved & i have a phone & a pad for extra internet research What im saying is going its going to take a while Steel Shark |
Resigned more realistic 60,70,s hud displays
ive re worked my Conditions & Signature panels on my 60,70,s huds to better reflect the various improvements ive made to in game displays & to better accommodate my new Signature displays
these reflect the 60,70,s old screens better im also re working soviet block stuff too & NATO assets all tab panels have been reworked too so i can rename as i need to per individual hud Steel Shark |
