Basic Modding How to

I would like to experiment with some basic mods but I have no idea of where to start. :k_confused: Is there any documentation that would help me out? At least get the 'lay of the land' of what files affect what?

Thanks in advance,

Mac,

this is like asking "how do i fix my car?".:timeout:

what do you want to do via modding? you must have an objective or a goal of some kind...what is that goal or objective?:hmmm:

I agree.....some what. If I'm going to work on my car, I would buy a Haynes or Chilton's that would give me the basic 'lay of the land'. Same concept for general programming. I need to know what unique headers, classes, constants, variables, pragmas, etc before I start manipulating the project.

The project I have in mind is enlarging the SH4 TDC input (upper right) on a mouse over, similar to the depth, compass and speed telegraph on the bottom right. The range ticks and mast height numbers are just too hard for me to see.

I was wondering if someone had put together a guide that lines out what files extensions do what and how they are used by the gaming engine that I could use as a starting point.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it........
