War Patrol Report- Check it out
Little project I planned to do a couple years back but never got around to it. Anyways, finally did.
Kept a running log of activity on last war patrol...locations, times, contacts, firing ranges, angles etc. Made an outline. Wrote up a war patrol report with format based on the real ones have read. I was running TMO with my custom mods out of Brisbane with USS Drum. File is a zip file. Included is the full war patrol report along with the deck log. See the readme for me details. Let me know if liked it, hated it etc. lol working on a template so put out so others can easily author these. Could be interesting to read patrol reports from various members of the community. I enjoyed these, thanks for sharing!
I did something similar with my last 2 patrols after coming back to SH with a long time away - available here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtPjDY8db0JykplE...BV-YQ?e=KhxxaE I used the SH4Report utility to generate the report, then cleaned it up and added the patrol narrative from my notes. The Erika Ormig font was found online - I think it's what is used in SH3 and SH4. Think I overdid the weather reports in the 2nd patrol, will want to find a happy medium between the 1st and 2nd - maybe a report for each attack. |

this one kept returning a "file not found" error message...however it does not say which file. then there was the "not a valid integer" error. i suspect that these utils were written for 1.3 or 1.4 of SH...because there are other "errors": your boat name and number may not be correct: https://i.ibb.co/89VP87S/Picture0060.jpg we are sailing in the Balao SS-285 and not part of Subron14. anyway, i suspect that at one time this was neat but i think it is out-of-date now. but then, we are playing a game that is over 10 years old, so aren't we all? :hmmm::doh: :Kaleun_Salute: |

Odd that it has the wrong boat though - mine picked up the correct one. Are you using FOTRS as well or a different mod? Wonder if that might be causing this. |
