A massive intelligence service scandal is on the rise in Denmark

The seed to this scandal already started some years back

Here are some links

Denmark has suspended the head of the country's foreign intelligence service as part of an ongoing investigation.

The Ministry of Defence says the probe follows "very serious criticism" of matters in the country's Armed Forces' Intelligence Service.

The collaboration is described in the report as a top-secret collection of a large amount of raw data from cable access given by FE to the NSA.

The cable in question is used for all types of digital communication including telephone calls, internet and SMS messaging, DR reports.

interesting, thanks for sharing.

It's not the first time the NSA got caught "spying" on citizens of a NATO ally.

I suddenly became unsure.

Have NSA spied on Danish citizens with with permission from FE ?
Or
Have FE spied on Danish citizens and shared it with NSA.

Whatever may be correct of these two. The Danish Intelligence service FE have commit a crime.

Intelligence agencies share information, internationally. The five eyes are a special club though.

And Denmark is significant how in the larger scope of NATO?

Don't make me laugh. The times of the Norsemen and Danelaw are long gone.

Denmark has several key skills it brings to the NATO table just like the Dutch do, in reality Denmarks inteligence arm is one of the best in Europe, although not part of the 5 I group it does work very closely with the NSA and other intel agencies.
