The half-blue/half-red chessboard is an annoying concept and would probably be a distraction in play; the idea of a "certificate of authenticity" is laughable; does anyone think there are going to be counterfeit chess sets manufactured given the demand for the originals is probably going to be very low? Imagine the Customs authorities press conference: "Today we are announcing the confiscation of 5,000 faux Rolex watches, 4,000 faux Chanel bags, 3,500 pairs of fake Nike sneakers, and 10,000 Battle for the White House chess sets were seined by ICE officers, with a total value of USD $1,500,000, or, if you don't count the chess sets, USD $1,499,500..."...

Another thing I noticed: the Queen position for the Blue/DEM side will be occupied by Kamala Harris; on the Red/GOP side, it will be... Mike Pence, something sure to irk that noted homophobe...

Rgarding color, as someone who spent a considerable amount of his working life in the accounting field, the state of being financially solvent and whole is know as being "in the black", while financial insolvency and distress is known as "being in the red", th color of choice by the GOP...
