Combat Footage Real Sound Project
The idea, for a long time I've wanted to see what WW2 footage would look like with a realistic sound track. Recently I've been searching for good video editing software that's simple to use and intuitive in the $50-80 dollar range. After a few frustrating trials yesterday I found one that looks like it's going to work, Corel Studio.
I just did an experimental rough cut to try out the idea. Original 30 sec clip https://youtu.be/o9QzC9v1VV8 1st rough cut Real Sounds https://youtu.be/86zyLCL376M |
Sounds promising....
Enjoyed that |
That's really interesting and makes quite the difference. Hope to see more. Best of luck with it.

Side note: Just caught "Men Against Tanks" is available for free for Prime members. Old time favorite, had on VHS once, candidate for new sound mix. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/7409/z1pdbI.jpg |

Great idea! I look forward to seeing (and hearing) more.
You may want to check out the downloads section of the Steel Beasts fan site. There are lots of high quality recordings there of all kinds of military equipment. Cheers! |

I just found this other fellow, "BalticSeaBoats" who seems to be onto the same idea. He's been making improved sound video's the past year. (I sent him an email and introduced myself.)

Just to be clear: If I were you, I would (of course) ask the authors for permission before using any of their material. They are good people and I suspect many would oblige for nothing more than an attribution on your part.

Looks very promising. Looking forward to seeing the results.
