How do dynamic locations in the editor work?
Hi there, I am trying to make some missions with a little more unknowns. It takes away all suspense and uncertainty when you make a mission yourself.
Anyway, I'm trying to do this with dynamic locations. However, I can't seem to get them to work. I made the simplest possible mission to test this. I had 2 enemy subs, created a dynamic location, and assigned them to it. I only want one of the 2 possible subs to spawn on the mission, so under generation options, I put: min. 1 max. 1. When I started the mission, both subs spawned. I then changed the values to: min. 0 max 0. Both subs still spawned. I then added a third enemy sub, assigned it to the same dynamic location, and changed the values to: min. 1 max 2. All three boats spawned. I went to the mission editor manual and it appears to me I did the right steps. What am I doing wrong? Also, are there any good mission editor guides for more advanced options out there? Edit: It appears I was looking for the dynamic group option... |
