Some interesting films in his legacy, a real solid record. I just noticed him and me shared birthday date, February 14th.

His knighthood alone is fitting testimony of his talent.

It is precisely that list why he was knighted.

That he was knighted did not enable him or added to his talent to make the movies on that list. :O: The knighthood means little. The works tell it all. :)

He was much ahead of his time as a director, screenwriter and producer which is clearly seen in several films in the 70's and so on.

I like a lot of prog rock, but I was never big on The Alan Parker Project.:hmmm:
