Which SH3 megamod should I use?
Hey all, I've decided to return to SH3 after not having played it for a while. Problem is, there are so many megamods for SH3 out there, I don't know which one to choose. I understand that a lot of people play SH3 for hardcore realism, but that's not the category I fall into - I like things like ships and contacts being visible on map, external camera, and using auto targeting for torpedos.
What matters to me most is which Megamod is the most up-to date, well made, and graphically pleasing. I want some realism in terms of a challenging opponent, and realistic late-war difficulty, but for the most part, I am not a hardcore player. Any recommendation on which SH3 mega mod I should use based on the above? |

well, I gave it a try, but Silent Hunter 3 just looks too dated graphically now for me to enjoy it. Guess I will just stick to Sh4 Instead.

So - there are several different Megamods with additional mods that make SH3 look as good as or better than SH4.
I run three different installs - GWX3 (in 3 flavors), NYGM, and WAC5.2. I'm in a similar situation. Played GWX for a very long time. Do the other larger mods also value realism? I'm thinking of trying something new.
