Obviously subjective, but I think the series is too much about petty squabbles and ridiculous insubordination which clearly puts everyone's lives at risk. I stopped watching after a couple of episodes, though, so I can't say how the entire series is. I "gave up" on it.

I watched all episodes from 1st season. Das Boot movie was a u-boat movie. This serie is not. We will see what hapens in 2nd season. I expect a pure u-boat serie but this serie is not what I expect so far.
