Sh5 twos mega mod help

I am sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I keep getting the same two issues with the mod I will go through what I have done and the errors/issues.
1- fresh install of sh5 from playing (believe updated to 1.2.0)
2- run game
3- install twos using administrator rights
4- follow install instructions but at the generic patches I get a issue with it saying
D:/Silent Hunter\sh5.exe is different version than expected!

Patch:
Independent engine controls
Change 2
Reason: Bytes read does not equal bytes expected by patch
Bytes expected: C3CCCCCCCCC3CCCCCCCCC
3CCCCCCCC

And even when starting a new campaign it just ctd,

Any help would be great thank you.

Okay

Just in case: when uninstalling the game make sure to remove any registry entry and delete manually any SH5 file not removed automatically by the uninstaller.
