WWII U-boat research sites

Hi y'all :)

What are some good WWII U-boat research sites?

Links would be appreciated.

you can find a lot of stuff on Wiki, but this site is probably what you are looking for:

Uboatarchive is great, has a lot of KTBs and other historical documents:

This was immediately useful to me (researching the fate of U-821)

These are great sites, derstosstrupp and Bilge Rat. With the various stay at home initiatives, these sites give everyone something of interest to read while staying at home.

I particularly liked the patrol areas and the U-boat and commanders and dates the u-boats were there.

A collection of these links should be made in to a sticky and put in an appropriate forum.

People can add to it as other research links are found

I would like to add http://www.navweaps.com/ if your research extends to torpedoes and especially the history of the different types/mods

That has already been done years back but I can't remember if it was stickied.

I tend to bookmark my sites if interest.

If you are interested in WW2 U.S. Fleet Boats, this is also interesting. All the actual patrol reports have been digitized and are publicly available:
