Queens Speech

Very warm, very heartfelt........ and very war time I thought, I am no royalist, but I think Liz gave us all some solace.:Kaleun_Applaud:

Some weeks ago The Danish Queen did the same gave an extraordinary speech to the Danish people.

Some hours after i could among friends friend read stuff like.

I do not support this largest recipient of social assistance.

95-98 % do support her and have tried to follow her commands.

Edit
A huge majority gave positive feedback on her speech

Quite the comparison to some other heads of state's statements

OK speech but lets be honest, better times ahead I hardly can see that with these liberals waving their motto..." its my right i can do what i want"

SUNBATHING!

Really?

Fully agree Martin and many are already saying it was one of her finest moments.

Oh and allow me to apologise publicly about last night on Discord.....when I said "I'm off now, the Queen is giving her speech" and you upon hearing me acted in an identical manner.

When I got downstairs she had stopped speaking only then did I realise the wife was watching a short clip on the evening news, the Queen of course was live an hour or so earlier

No worries Jim, I'm pretty sure Liz didn't miss us mate ;) I caught it later :Kaleun_Cheers:

Live was better ... I just barely caught her speech between the free movies on DIsh I accidentally pushed the news station button and there she was speaking.

I liked the part encouraging us that even if we do die (due to the virus) we will see our families and loved ones in heaven

I try to ignore the fact much of it os written by government ministers but you can usually recognise the parts she adds in herself.

She stayed true to herself.

Different to some others, in her case that is a compliment.

For anyone who may not have seen it and would like to.

I thought it was an excellent speech and it is just what you keep royalty around for.

I'm not so keen regarding some of the extended family though.
