GWX Enhanced Damage Effect crashing

Hi guys i haven't played SH3 in a while and never on Win10. I recently installed it and had all the mods going. Noticed loading any save games causes instant crash. Tried disabling mods one by one and it seems the culprit is the gwx enhanced damage effects. Anyone has any idea on fix for this? Is there a replacement mod for this? thanks.

It could be that you need to apply the large address aware (4GB) patch to your SH3.exe file if you have not done so.

.... or the Enhanced Damage Effects mod / your installation has been changed in some way which causes the crashes in question.

Either way, some other mod or issue remains as the causative agent.
