What game should I buy and play on PC?

What game should I buy and play on PC?

I can see that many games have been added over time.

I haven't played submarine games since SH1, SH2 and and Destroyer Command, which I think was max cool. Now my kids have grown up and also want to play computer, so I just bought a gamer pc and I want to try it.

My first question are

What type of game do you like to play ?

FPS ?
Simulation ?
a.s.o.

You have to get SH3 :yep:

For shooters I'd never be without 'Hidden & Dangerous 2' and 'Death To Spies I & II'

If not WW2 then 'Battlefield Bad Company 2' or any/all of the Stalker, FEAR or Crysis games

Eichhörnchen is right

You must try SH3 with GWX Gold

More stuff like sim, tactical, . I don't like the "stress" in FPS. Mostly I like to have a world where I freely can move around like in GTA or NFS.

One game I came to think of is the good old Fleet command or the new Command modern operation.

Here's a link to this Command Modern Operations

There are a lot more.

I'm trying to remember the title of a series of Tactical 2D platform games i had to my ancient WIN95 computer.

In one of them which was in the time period 1861-1865 USA, you could choose which general you would like to be and then you gave your soldiers order a.s.o
And another I was NATO/WP Commander.

Can I use GWX if I download SH3 on Steam?

You have to ask someone else-I know SH3 is available on STEAM but I do not know how to add mods to a STEAM game.

SH3 + GWX

Eichhörnchen 03-27-20 01:49 PM

First To Fight is a bloody good FPS, as are Vietcong and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2

Jimbuna 03-27-20 02:40 PM

Any of those suitable for W10?

Platapus 03-27-20 04:00 PM

There are two types of Submarine Simulators out there

1. SH3+GWX
2. Everything else.

I just bought a package of SH3, SH4, SH4 Atlantic U-boat on Steam for $14.00. GWX works as well as SH3 Commander. I did have some trouble with the wide screen mod I was using before and switched to another one. This is on a fresh W10 PC.

Despite the (my) bashing of Win 10 (sending all your data to the NSA instantly*) at least games work :D
Seriously, you can get almost any old DOS game running on Win 10, and if you have Win 10 professional you can start a virtual machine simulating any operating system, and run 'em all.

* I hate it. :wah:
