Game Crashing After New Campaign Start Wolves of Steel
When I setup a new campaign, set my preferences etc then click Start,
it loads for awhile, then the whole game crashes to desktop. Every single time. Here's my mod list for Wolves of Steel. No other mods are loaded. Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157 [E:\Games\Silent Hunter 5\TWoS_Parts] TWoS Campaign Start_Type VIIB TWoS Campaign Advance Verifier Testing TWoS Encrypted BdU Orders TWoS FX_Incr. Flooding via Zones - I tried removing this mod, but it made no difference. It still crashes. TWoS FX_Reduc. Fires and Expl._Incr. Flooding via Zones TWoS Harbors Chimney Smoke TWoS Map Contact Colors TWoS Neutrals Illuminated Only_Until [Date] TWoS Remove Sub Flags TWoS SM Interior_Food Stocks |
I've gone over and over the mod trying to find why it keeps crashing. I removed each of the Wolves of Steel mods 1 by 1 and it keeps crashing. It's a brand new install, completely wiped the old one, but no matter what I do, it just keeps crashing to desktop after spening 2 minutes on the loading screen.
Has no one else seen this? Know a fix? Usually this sort of thing is a mod order problem, but this is just one, mod, and I know it works as so many of you use it. So what's the trick??? I installed it exactly as laid out in the manual, 3 times. Deeply Frustrated :hmmm: Neon |
Hi NS
What is your installation Dvd > STEAM > Download? If it is a downlload you will need this fix. Uplay Download Version Fix For SH5 And TWoS > Pictorial If it is a Dvd you will need this fix. How To Re-Install A SH5 DVD Following Uplay’s Update Instructions For TWoS Players > Pictorial Re-install SH5 and follow the relevant fix instructions. Peter |

loads and I'm aboard the boat in the Uboat pen, as soon as I hit 1 or click ahead slow, the game crashes. Do other people have these problems with Wolves of Steel? The thing I love though is a full manual TDC is back. Do you have any ideas how to make it more stable? Cheers :Kaleun_Cheers: Neon |
