The movie is legally at youtube to watch, full length. I just saw the version German of it, and think it probably is quite realistic. I liked it.

Its no action or popcorn movie. Dont expect stuff blowing up like crazy.

It won the Raindance film festival 2013.

That was intense, i just found me asking what tf were they doing there, let alone what did anyone intend to achieve?

First scene alone, two LRs on a hill, shooting into an empty city.
Anyone read the Heart of Darkness by Conrad, when they meet this french warship, "firing shells into an empty continent"? Complete screwed up "operation".

Avoiding to get caught by the shadows of their own illusions, I suppose. What they think they are doing there, is something I ask myself since over one and a half decade. I think the populism of Western governments and politicians has a lot to do with it.

Have your read this evening's Die Welt's frontpage?

"The whole world will..." do as we do.

Hybris, thats what we are doing in Afghanistan.

Bush's "beacon of demcoracy" was the same calibre of populistic phrasing.

Its an arena from Unreal. And unreal it is for sure.
