Aircraft In Aces Of The Deep?
Does anyone know what aircraft are in AOD or CAOD? :arrgh!: I know I see a lot of Short Sunderlands and Lockheed Hudsons. What else is out there? My AA guys actually cut the wing off a Sunderland but No Credit for it! :salute:
No lifeboats in AOD or CAOD before or after a ship is sunk! Now I'm trying getting a feel for the ships, looking for flags. In the North Sea when the fog starts I can see extremely fast ships moving North out of the English Channel! Thanks! Christopher Tarana |
Hi Chrisopher T
I must say I haven't been able to get a clear view of flags in game, so I am not sure if they are in it or not. if you want to get info on planes in AOD or CAOD, you can go in the vehicle preview in the menu. I What I do, is I get info on thoses devils from the skyes, and when my watchman spots one, I target it in the tactical/close up map, and then press I, My watch officer then tells me the aircraft name and then I decide what to do depending on the situation! Thanks, UGW!
I'll check it out in a minute! :arrgh!: Aircraft in CAOD And Aces! F4F Wildcat Avenger Bristol Beaufighter Mosquito PBY Catalina B-17E Flying Fortress B-24J Liberator Lockheed Hudson Short Sunderland Christopher Tarana |

Don't worry about flags in AOD. Sink anything you want. Usually those fast ships are troop ships.
As in real life, they depend on their speed for defense vs. an escort. |
The really fast movers turned out to airplanes! I always patrol at 1024x, the planes were moving like blurs! I was hanging around the chart screen and selected the target. Then I slowed down to 1x time and hit the I key. The crew said the target was an aircraft! All my career losses have been to aircraft! :arrgh!:
Thanks! Christopher Tarana |

You can try and outsmart aircraft on the surface long enough so that they don't scratch your hull and your brave crew can shoot off there wings!
I usually do this and it helps nwith evoiding the planes: -Do radical corse changes (75+°) when the plane starts getting close to 1k or 500m -I always patrol at full speed so when the plane is at the same ~1km I speed up to flank speed |

I don't like taking the chance myself, plus in real life diving was recommended But to each their own ! |
