CTD when trying to play in career mode

Hi,

Hoping someone has any thoughts about this.

I'm running SH III under Steam on Win 10 with GWX 3.0 and the mod that allows higher than default screen res (currently running at 1920 x 1080). It works fine for the naval academy & single missions, but every time I try to start career mode I get a CTD before it's finished loading.

I'd really welcome any opinions about a cause or possible fix for this. I loved SH III back in the day, and I'm kinda hoping to relive my youth (ok I was in my 30s when I first played SH III, but 'youth', like all else, is relative. Right? :03:)

Managed to solve the problem: just had to remove the read-only flag from every file in my SH III installation. Now it works just fine.
