CTD when managing crew
 

This will be my last thread for a while, I promise mods :D

Anyway, I just started my 2nd patrol and am having a problem. Whilst still in the bunker, I open up my screen to manage my crew. And if I click on certain characters like the XO to apply promotion points to them the game crashes. I know this probably a shot in the dark but I couldn't find anyone else discussing this specific ctd anywhere. If anyone has ever seen this and might have a fix that would be sweet. Thanks!

You can apply promotion points whilst out at sea. Does the ctd follow you when you start the next patrol?
For the record, when I click on that guy in the bunker and try to renew my torps, sometimes the game refuses to let me drag them into the reserve slots. I have to reload my bunker save and even restart game entirely to get it working again. Something weird with that window in the background.

When you end patrol and reach bunker, always save in a separate slot first if you intend to reload the game, do not use bunker autosaves. You can however continue from the bunker immediately if you want (but I would also save in a separate slot just for security). And you should know that when starting a career or chapter you must *always* save / reload to avoid these quirks and CTDs. In TWoS this is written onscreen now.

Thanks guys, I haven't been at a point where I've had to try and apply the points again yet but I'll keep these things in mind when I do!
