Deleting Old Journals
 

I used to save a journal for each patrol (e.g., pat 2 named " 2-1"). Now I just want to save a single journal for each career. How do I delete journals I don't want to display when I go to load a saved journal? Thanks!

Journals are saved in the directory

...Silent Hunter 5\Logs


They are *.sje files.


At the moment you save them in the game, give them a distinct name and reload them from there later, this is the easiest solution. By clicking in the lower section of the save window, you can browse the journals you already have and load the one you like. I can give you a screenshot to show you, just ask.

I cannot drop a screenshot because the game will pause during the journal window.


You will see in the window "Journal to load: None". Click on None to see your journals to load.

Thanks man! What I will probably do is keep a single journal for each career by commander name. Once career is over (for good or bad) save it to an "Old" folder.
