Command Key mystery
 

As an old retired airline pilot I have a hard time believing that UBoats have landing GEAR trucks and yet the keyboard command image (press F1) shows the UP arrow key as GEAR UP and the DOWN arrow key as GEAR DOWN. Pressing either of these two keys in "game" has absolutely no effect that I can see whatsoever!

Can some kind soul enlighten me as to what kind of "GEAR" is being talked about here and what I should look for when I press these buttons?

Hahah...nice one :D Think of it as a "throttle", engine settings, propulsion, speed selector ect...
