Submarine Type
 

Hi there - another question for you all

Have just started a new career (running TWOS) and I am not completely sure what type of U-Boat I am in

I assume it is a type VIIA, because I have no external reloads.
But looking through the Submarine systems tabs I cannot see it confirmed anywhere.
Am I missing something obvious?
Or is it maybe only displayed to you when you are in the bunker?

Second question related to this -
As the campaign progresses do I spend renown to upgrade to a type B or C (like SH3)?
Or do you automatically get upgraded to a new type as the campaign goes on?

The Total Germany default boat is the type VIIA although TWoS does give you the option to start the Campaign with the VIIB which can be enabled through JSGME.

In this campaign you upgrade from VIIA to VIIB as you continue to progress your career.

Your Renown is spent on equipment as it becomes available.
