Mod to eliminate 'Not enough water under keel, captain' ?
 

Hi,
I'm looking for a mod to complete the NewUI 7_5_0 and which was on TDW's ToDo list in his latest test version. I have taken a look in the DL section but didn't find anything. Also I don't know if it would be a sound mod or if more things need to be changed.


I'm talking about this problem:

There is a constant message from your crew 'Wir haben nicht genug Wasser unter dem Kiel, Herr Kaleun!", in English: "Not enough water under keel, Captain!" ? Obviously happens in shallow waters, it constantly repeats and it's kind of annoying...


Has anyone been able to get rid of that and how? Or is there a mod for which I don't know the exact name?

Yes, thanks bstanko6, I'm aware of that, but I need to find a more radical solution, also because this behavior is interfering with some sound mods (e.g. the very good Battlestation Sound mod) that are totally messed-up because of it.



I think I will have to find the file where you can set the lenght of playback and if yes or no it will repeat etc. Locating the soundfiles is not too hard to do, but making them play just once or once every 3 minutes or so is a lot harder (if not impossible), so I need to look at that.

The usage of the mod 'MightyFine crew mod 1.21' seems to highly reduce this problem, also now my adjusted Stormy's DBSM mod will work perfectly with their scripts both with the stock crew and the crew 'Das Boot'. Try it out by installing the Mightyfine just before! I will ask Peter THEBERBSTER to update my guide about this in his section.
