Question 3d models

Hello i have some confusing Problems with Changing 3d Models of the playable ships.
For example when i Import the Model of a Surface ship Everything works fine. But when i Import the Model of an modern sub i get a ctd when try to Start a Mission. I try to use Models of sh4.
