Dashed lines on nav map for contacts?

I just did a fresh install of Sh5 and TWoS, does this mean it's a contact we detected that is using active sonar?

There is no active sonar in TWoS. Could be RWR contacts? Screenshot?

I can provide them, but don't warships use active sonar to locate subs?
