No "Ship Sunk" notification in Captain's log

Steam version w/ WoS
Danzig - Fulfilled
Scapa - Fulfilled
Currently patrolling Eastern coastals

The ships are definitely sunk and my total number on the right side of the log tally correctly, but no line entries for the ships. Is this a "Don't worry about it", similar to the 0000-00-00 date thing?
