We have 2-foot-tall squirrels?
NC biologists posted a photo of one and it’s huge! North Carolinians have come to expect rattlesnakes, bears, alligators and possibly even Bigfoot in wooded areas, but state wildlife officials posted images this month of a lesser known oddity that is just as startling: A 2-foot-tall squirrel. The photos were captured by camera traps in Robeson County, and reaction on Facebook can be summed up by commenter Ruth Bergstein of Greensboro: “He’s huge!” State officials identified the animal as a fox squirrel that was likely 26 inches tall (not counting its tail :o) and weighed nearly 3 pounds. That’s about a foot taller than a beagle, according to the American Kennel Club, and twice the size of the more common gray squirrels seen in metropolitan areas like Charlotte and Raleigh, says the North Carolina Wildlife Commission. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/ne...222294420.html |

Who has the nuts to tackle such a large squirrel?
|
I have a .357 cal Air Rifle that says it don't walk away!
|
Just ordered a Hatsan 135 carnivore. Should take care of any small to medium sized mutants out to 25 yards. Reasoable priced too, wife wont let me spend on a Umarex .50 cal.

Those .30 cal Vortex rifles pack a nice punch!
My .357 is the BT65 Carnivore from Hatsan. :) Put it in the Hatsan Tactical stock with a night vision scope for awhile. Yotes don't come around no more! I do have a 135 but it's the .25 cal version |
