Can’t believe after all those years playing (mostly tweaking) SH5 and SH4... installed back SH3 last week and found again a so immersive and nicely done sim :o

I love the MEP v6 mod, and the great Ahnenerbe wide gui. Awesome ambiance.

Only GWX3 + SH3 Commander and few must have mods (Around 10) ... gives an almost perfect sim :yeah:

Only one thing missing in regard of the other 2 SH: the water transparency.
Maybe one day...

And it seems i can’t patch my SH3.exe with H.sie patch unfortunately.

But SH3 is still not dead, and have to say it rocks!
I’m in love again :D

You should try out WAC 5.0

Probably later on... so far loving GWX & add on mods.

I’m shocked how good is this old game (my first one by the way)
Only played it vanilla back at this time, and never tried any mega mod with it until last week.

I don’t want to compare it to the other 2 SH release, but SH3 isn’t that outdated.
To me it’s same level as others (maybe even more fun to play) with the right mods choice to enhance it.

The general ambiance is quite incredible, probably better than the others.
(Thomsen sound mod is a real top one for that matter)

The environment and resolution mods does give it a bit of an extra kick to beat those newer games. IMO after playing the modded SH3 just a little while, your eye doesn't even care about the "mature" graphics.. :03:

Then again the level of immersion and the feel of total control makes it stand out as the best!

Seasoned kaleun with worthy crew doesn't need eyes, only his wit and ability to shout commands (which is what SH3Speech is for)..

You can try out wbs usam it adds lots of units or try merchant Fleet but both of the mods are big so loading times increases
