The shooter A teenage allegedly shouted “surprise” before opening fire on students and teachers at Santa Fe High School in Texas. There have been a confirmed 9 students killed in addition to one teacher bringing the total to ten so far. Another ten have been wounded.

On May 11, a 14-year-old boy in In Palmdale, California, went to Highland High, his former school, and began shooting a semiautomatic rifle shortly before classes began, authorities said. He was taken into custody and is accused of attempted murder. One person was wounded.

While the debates will start anew, I believe the time has come for schools and communities to institute safety measures in our schools to protect their students. What are you waiting for ?? You can't wait any longer.

Really sad and so shocking for it to be 9 students and one teacher, plus so close to graduation. Praying is all I can do ... it's all any of us can do.

Now everyone will be telling Trump what to do about gun laws ... it's really all about nut jobs vs legal owners of fire arms.:yep:

I am glad he was taken alive. We need to study him and try to find out why some people choose to take these horrible actions.

that would be a waste of time and effort, the prisons and homeless shelters are full of people just like this kid, not to mention the 40+ million others who are considered to have mental health conditions. It's like asking why water is wet.

They said on the news that he was bullied by his football coaches and other team players, plus he just confessed in jail that he didn't shoot students that he liked.

Personality disorder brought on by the atmosphere he lived in :yep:

bullied by the coaches? I hope that will be investigated

Bangbangbang. Oooops, another one. Never again, we're sorry. Bangbangbang. Oooops, another one. Never again, we're sorry. Bangbangbang. Oooops, another one. Never again, we're sorry.

And no, its not about gang violence in the neighbourhood. Its about a failing society, and its sick glorification of violence as an entertainment format.

Coming from a country with good gun laws i can say that restricting high powered guns works . Americans are in denial if they think restricting high powered guns from the general public wouldnt work .
The american government should print money and buy back the high powered guns at a fair price . Imagine all that money in the economy .
My two cents .

It would be nice if things worked like that, but they don't always do.

One can't take policy that may have worked in one country, one culture,, one people, one location, and under one set of circumstances and expect it to apply equally to a different country, culture, people, location and circumstances.

There needs to be a solution that works with the American country, culture, people, locations, and our set of circumstances. What that solution is, is currently unknown. I know what my opinions are of the solution but then so does everyone else have their opinions.

It will not be an easy problem to solve and that is, of course, assuming that the problem can be solved. With an apology to Samuel Johnson, not all problems have acceptable solutions.

I get rather tied off those statements, they will never win, never again, we will learn from it and so on. And yet it will happen again, I wish it will not but we all know it will.
