crash while loading (all) savegames: Here's how to fix it!

All (both) my savegames crashed during loading, I thought my career was done for. However, here is the fix:

- Create a new profile (ideally with the same name, same nation)
- Return to main menu after office screen appeared
- Copy the "ActiveUserPlayerUnits.upc" and "CareerTrack.upc" to the new save file
- You're done: All your career progress has been carried over

Hope this helps if somebody runs into the same isssue.

Best,
Brett

if you made "any" changes to the game since those missions were saved then that is why its crashing.

for the longest time the standard reply to this problem was "you cant undo this things AFAIK so all you can do is delete the old save and start over best you can" so its nice to know someone found a way to restore the "lost" game progress when it happens

Did this really work for you?

Absolutely. I finished my career thanks to this a few weeks ago.
Basically this is a new career, but the time, unit and achievements are custom set to the one of your broken one.

Best,

Thanks. Next time I have that problem, I'll give it a try.
