GWX 3.0 crashes at loading screen
 

Good evening folks,

a few days ago i installed GWX 3.0 and got one error during the installation:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Silent Hunter 3\data\Sea\NF_boat_2_T05.tga

Apparently this one file seems too be corrupted. I just continued with the installation and it finished succesfully. So after I started a new career in 1939, the first 3 to 4 missions went fine but after that it just keeps crashing at the loading screen (The loading bar gets stuck at 90% and then crashes).
I already did a new installation of SH3 and GWX but nothing works (still getting an error about this one corrupted file).

Maybe one of you guys can help me out of this because it's frustraiting me and i just want to sink ships :(

I do not see why that file would make any difference with or without STEAM

Have you installed the 4gb patch?
4Gig Patch For SH3 > Already Activated In LSH3

Where have you installed GWX?
Have you installed SH3Commander?

If you have Windows 10 you need to run SH3 in Windows 7 compatibility mode.
Post #6 Running Applications As An Administrator.

It finally works! I reinstalled GWX and installed the V16B1-Patch-Kit. :Kaleun_Cheers:

Im trying to open my save game file while on patrol, and its always crash.
Try to change compatibility and disable all mods. I play on a laptop,
Lenovo Ideapad 330
amd ryzen 7 processor
8192 mb ram
AMD RX Vega 10 graphics card


pls help. its so stressfull.

Hi Toman_149 Re GWX Save crashing

1. Did you save your career save while submerged or near land
if so that could be why your game is crashing i would keep trying it.
It may kick in and fire up if not just restart that patrol from in base before next mission let me know how you get on Sir and if the downloads helped if you dont have them installed or you need further help Salute

2. Have you installed the 4Gig Patch so your SH3/GWX can use more memory

3. If you are using the Commander Mod have you downloaded the GWX Commander Mod Config file.
