GWX Easter Eggs

I don't want to ruin the experience for anyone but I want to point out some of the really great things I have found in GWX 3.0.

You have the opportunity to be involved in the battle for Norway and attack the British Fleet attacking Narvik. If you have the courage you can intercept the D-Day Invasion. The Torch and Anzio landings are in the game. There is an early war massive troop convoy that is guarded by just 2 escorts. (Several hundred thousand tons available for the sinking if you can find it.) You can intercept the Teheran Conference ships (USS Iowa) carrying President Roosevelt to his conference with Stalin etc.

I was leaving the u boat pens in Brest in 1943 and looked back to see a lone figure in a long coat standing inside the pen watching me put out to sea. A closer look revealed that it was Adolph Hitler himself!

Most of these can be found if you have a basic knowledge of history. Others may require a little espionage work using the Silent Hunter Editor. Being able to participate in these real life events adds a lot to the game and it beats the heck out of wandering aimlessly around the ocean looking for something to sink.

I'm curious as to what others have found.

Hi sba55,
very interesting, I will watch out for this next time I return to GWX :)
By seeing the tons of things they have included in GWX and described in their 500+ manual, I'm not surprised that they have in fact also included a lot of easter eggs.
Thank you for pointing us in this direction
