This is What Happens When Americans are Asked to Label Europe and Brits are Asked to Label the US :k_confused: At least they got Texas right! http://twistedsifter.files.wordpress...g?w=1024&h=769 |
I loved how someone had written "WHAT?" across the Balkans :har:

As a Norwegian, I certainly won't gloat after being lectured by a 7-9 year old Tamil kid on Scandinavian history. Only politicians can say without bursting out laughing that education is best in the west. Seems to me education almost all over is a satire on education.

Damn, so many knew my country and did it right. Loved Sangria! :Kaleun_Cheers:

My wife and I tried labeling the two blank maps. I got 35 States correct, my wife got 36. :oops:
Our maps of Europe are hilariously wrong. :har: |
Frankly, does it even matter?
Why would I know where the states in the US are? Why is that important to me? Why would an American need to know all European countries? Does any of you know where all African or Asian countries are (I certainly don't)? I think it's important to have a general idea of where things are but that's it. If I know that Albania is in the Balkans that's good enough for me because I know it's general direction. When someone asks for Oklahoma...well then I know it's part of the US but where exactly in it I don't know (well I could find it as I know by chance that it's shaped like a frying pan...but that's cheating:D). If someone knows that Germany is in central Europe that's good enough for me. |
I know where the well known ones are like NY and California and some lesser ones and that would go for the world as a whole. Hey there are places in the UK I never knew about. I don't see it being that important in fact I would say knowing the colours to wire a plug are far more important.

Someone recognized Finland. Take your buckets citizens and head to the nearest market place:haha:

(FX: old man gets grumpy). Also, I suspect that like a lot of the European answers, there is a lot of deliberate humour happening with the labelling. Although I was pissed off with the number of people who labelled all of the UK / GB as 'England'. |
I got most of the European countries right but I got hazy in the Balkans and Baltic States.
The US map I aced but then again I spent a lot of time looking at maps in my traveling youth. :) |

An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman walk into a bar. The Englishman wants to leave, so they all have to. Which pretty much sums up where the real power still lies, in the 'UK'. :O: On topic: i pretty much mess up the US map myself, but at least i get most right... looking for Macau, Montenegro and such places is always a challenge ;) |

Sometimes I'm embarrassed by my fellow Germans.:nope: :O::D |
