CTD on Navigation exam
 

Hi: I'm not new to the game but just realized I lost my SH3 disc...so I bought the download from Steam. My problem is, I am trying to complete the Navigation exam...everytime I get to the point where I have completed all the objectives and I'm waiting for the last radio message...the game crashes to desktop and my computer turns off...when I restart I do not get any error messages re: overheating or anything...just restarts normally.

I realize this is an Old game and have been searching thru CTD posts but they all deal with crashes due to adding mods. I haven't added any mods...this is the base SH3 version. Any thoughts would be appreciated b4 I ask for a Steam refund. Thanks!

I don't know about the Steam version of SH3, but I sure know that you must have the latest patched version 1.4b without Starforce. Check if that's the case.
All details are in the stickies. Then I highly recommend that you install one of the megamods for SH3 because the vanilla game besides of having no widescreen support is way less interesting.

Thanks to you guys for the help...but I realized after searching thru my directory...that I have SH3 and 4...on my "C" drive...The Steam version was under the Program files (x86)...after creating the 2 EXE file shortcuts to my desktop ..I deleted the Steam file. Cost me $9.99 (which they won"t refund) but that's OK. I have my games back!:Kaleun_Salute:
