Failure to ID Target

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why, after pressing the space key to start the process of identifying a ship, the ship is not identified, just followed?

Thanks,
REDOWL

Normal behavior, you have to ask your man to identify him if you added the right Mod "TWos UI cmd_Auto Target ID"

I have that mod installed. It has worked before but not now. Saw a convoy and all I could do was follow a ship.

Anyway it's not automatic, you have to request identification with the left most icon once you follow the target.
Your XO, then left icon (a periscope) then left icon again (ship shape).

If it's not working the icon will be greyed, probably a conflict.

That is the way it has worked in the past. But this time, when I get a ship in sight and press the space key, I get a message the "target is an unknown ship." I can follow the ship but when press the icon to ID the ship, nothing happens.

If you play Auto TDC:
Additionally of that mod, you must go in the TDW EDitorViewer and deactivate (set to false) 'deactivate automatic manual TDC' in one of the tabs , don't remember which, it's a 3-letter tab. In the game options, Manual TDC must be off.
After that you can switch from Auto TDC to Manual TDC which is necessary for identifying targets. It's 2 times the first icon on the left in the crew icons.

If you play Manual TDC:
You must have the mod installed, Manual TDC must be set in the game options and the entry above in the EditorViewer must be set to 'true'.
