New TWoS v2.2 Installer (testers needed+Steam)
 

I have uploaded new TWoS v2.2 installer to be tested primarily with the Steam version of the game.

Of course, comments of captains with regular version of the game are also welcome...:yep:

Also, it would be nice if someone with Steam account post this info on Steam/SH5 forum...

After some brief testing, everything seems to be working properly. The installation process is much more streamlined - well done.

Do you think in an update from 2.1.2 to 2.2 for users of 2.0 plus 2.1.2?

You were able to update your game to official v1.2.0 before you started with TWoS installation, right?

I actually a week ago refunded my steam version (surprisingly they approved it!) and bought a copy from Amazon, specifically to use this mod :doh:

Sorry I'm not on Steam, but for a non-steam user the installer worked great for me. Much simpler hassle free install and so far it's running great.

The version Steam provides to me already seems to be v1.2.0. I simply made a clean install and then used your installer.

Uninstalled and reinstalled SH5 with TWoS 2.2 (Test). NOT STEAM.

All working fine. My Campaign with 2.1.2 loading OK with 2.2.

I noted:

- The new "MODS" folder for JSGME is in the main SH5 directory, with the name "TWoS_Parts". Here I pasted the Rusted Glory mod (not included in TWoS but compatible with it).

- The GUI glass dials for SH3 style GUI is not included in the installer. I use my mod from the addons for 2.0. It seems an involuntary omission from Vecko.

High TC working very well. I continue to use my own limit of 256 max. I like to play slow.
