SH4 - Torpedo aiming reticle disappearing after upgrading submarine

Heyo everyone (new member here)
I've got quite the problem here: Every time I upgrade to a new submarine the manual aiming reticle disapears! Meaning I have to fire the torpedos blindly at ships :(

Is there any way to solve this issue? Is it something with gameplay settings or is the game bugged for good?

Any advice/help is appreciated.

You need to provide more information.

What version; 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, any mods installed? Did you buy SH4 from Steam, Amazon, D2D, or is it a DVD?

If a DVD is it the main game only 1.0 updated to 1.4, or is it the Gold edition UBoat missions 1.5?
