Important steps in life.

I went through that many years ago with Chemical Waste Management only this was called a reduction in force . I did train my replacement, with the promise to be rehired if a position opened up, never got called.

I would never train my replacement without serious compensation. In fact, they would have to hire me as a consultant to gain that at a very high fee.

Sorry if that was discussed in the video but I don't watch news, I prefer to read it and forego the "news readers" presentation.

If I had more fingers and toes, I could count the number of times I've trained my replacement over the last 42 years of a US railroad career. That industry has been in a "down-sizing" phase since like 1948. If you don't want to train your replacement, that's your prerogative, or if you don't want to do it properly, no biggie. The company just won't want you to come in to work tomorrow. Oh, btw, you forfeit your severance package if you do that... just take your time, smile and wave boys, smile and wave... It's a fact of life.
