Game quit starting
The game quit starting after I restarted my computer. It has been playing for the last three days. Now when sh5 is launched from uplay it gives the sh5 gold launch screen, then nothing. Before it showed the wolves of steel launch screen and continued. The game does nothing if launched from sh5.exe.
This is not a steam version. I am running the wolves of steel mod. Admin permissions set. Just when i figured out manual TDC |

Plan A Disable your mods and see if the stock game will load. This will prove whether it is the game launcher or mod problem. If the game still fails to load the stock game. Plan B. Uninstall the game launcher from the Control Panels Program and Features. Do not delete your saved games if you wish to keep them. Run the registry cleaner. Post #70 How To Use The Free Registry Cleaner 'Ccleaner' > Includes Download Link Reboot your sytem. Install this new Game Launcher anywhere on any drive. Plan B worked. I can now play the stock game. Adding TWOS mod next.

antivirus deletes sh5.exe
Once GenericPatcher runs Norton antivirus deletes sh5.exe. This time it is not letting the restore function. So far I have not found the file exception part of Norton. Off to google.

CTD when starting new campaign
Fixed the Uplay problem, and the antivirus problem. Now the game CTD when starting a new campaign. Back to googling.

For some reason the game needed to uncheck "run as admin" on the sh5.exe file. One more item of this game to confuse me. |
