Depth Charge Racks
 

I noticed that some destroyers and escorts don't have depth charge racks. They seem to have depth charges though. What is the advantage of having depth charge racks?

Racks feed the depth charge throwers or the stern droppers like a guns magazine so to speak

That is interesting, because in the museum description there is no mention of racks for the AB destroyers and some of the other destroyers and escorts.

Are you playing stock SH3 or SH3+GWX don't pay too much attention to what it says in weapons in the text look at the screen shots you can clearly see the throwers towards the back of the AB and Captain Class as the war progresses the escorts get side racks throwers also called K Guns as you click on a escort then click on each year they get weapon upgrades trust me on this I'm the Johnny who writes the Steel Sharks SH3 Groups Multiplayer GWX SH3 Based Campaign
that's the envy of the Civilized World now our Campaign war date is 20th June 1943 40 plus merchant ship Convoys 12-18 Escorts half of them Elite once they find you they are like a bloodhound they don't give up

Do you play the GWX Campaign with the Commander Mod or just single player missions or multiplayer missions with Tunngle

its early days for you when you get into late 1941 mid 1941 then it gets interesting my advice would be to play some single missions and learn the art of evading the escorts when theres 3-6 of them on you you don't want to mess up your Campaign (always best to backup your SH3 Campaign carrer saves in your documents)and as the war progresses better escorts become available river class frigates captain class and colony classes then theres the American escorts Ewarts Buckley Benson Tacoma and JC Butler class
