Chinese boats

The new Chinese boats need to be treated with caution. They are noisy as hell. In my first battle there were 7 transient launches, when I went to battle stations at 10k yards, before I could slow to 5kts. I would suggest starting at 15k yards instead of 10k if your running faster than 5 kts.

Do snapshots when you can to avoid incoming torpedo launches.

The Chinese boats are a real challenge and no match for other subs and or surface ships. So to win a battle requires a different strategy. I will take one out tomorrow again and hopefully show a video of game play.

I think the mod maker did a great job and these boats are accurate. :ping:

Oh, you mean playing as the Chinese boats, they're noisy as hell? It doesn't seem like an enemy could be both noisy as hell and challenging :hmmm:

Perhaps he meant challenging to play using them successfully. This seems in contrast to the Chinese sub which surfaced near a US fleet in the middle east, perhaps getting close enough to be detected.

Exactly.. The worst thing that can happen is finding a contact while you are running at high speed. Your Chinese boat turns into a torpedo magnet when you go to battles stations.

I put up a video showing some game play where I get caught doing exactly that unintentionally. It funny but scary in real life. Watch and learn what not to do. :haha:
